A fast-paced but complete route into the Annapurna Sanctuary, reaching Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) in just seven days from Pokhara. The trail follows the Modi Khola river valley through rhododendron and bamboo forest and traditional Gurung villages of Chhomrong and Sinuwa, opening out into the amphitheatre of peaks - Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) - that ring the base camp itself. A natural hot spring stop at Jhinu Danda rounds off the trek on the way back down.
