This seven-day itinerary is Egypt's classic first-timer route, combining Cairo sightseeing with a three-night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. After two days in Cairo covering the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum, a domestic flight connects to Luxor to board the cruise, taking in Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank. The cruise sails south with stops at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo before reaching Aswan, where the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae round out the sightseeing before flying back to Cairo.
